OSCAR AWARD
Awarded by the Past President of the Winnipeg Amateur Radio Club Inc., usually yearly. The Award is officially called the Past President’s Award, but it received the name Oscar by Alex Henderson, who was its first recipient. It was John Gowron, VE4ADS, who took the letters and coined the phrase, “Outstanding Service Concerning Amateur Radio”.
